Thanks to YOU For Making it Happen

Fall has arrived and it truly is the season of harvest.  Thank you so much for partnering with us to reach and equip the next generation gathered from NC and around the world on the campuses here in the Triangle.

Recently, we had a very successful iMix (International Ministry and Interest Exchange) outreach to new international students from Duke, UNC and NC State.  It was amazing to see over 120 in attendance from 18+ nations.

This was an awesome time to share the love of Christ with new visiting scholars and students who have just arrived in the US.  As we extravagantly serve these students, it makes a profound impact and often opens the door to new relationships and their heart.  Most of them have now been connected to a host family from our church and we look forward to the testimonies that lay ahead.

Then last week, we hosted the Every Nation Campus Ministries Mid-Atlantic fall retreat in Virginia that was attended by 200 students from campuses in NC, VA and DC.  The theme of this year’s retreat was “Deeper.”

This was not only this years theme in name, but so many students were deeply touched by the Holy Spirit and came to know Father’s love in a new way.  And we are thrilled to report 8 students were baptized, including a precious friend Melat from Ethiopia.

As well, it was a great time of bonding and encouraging the female ENCM staff that I help oversee.  They are reaching thousands of students on their campuses and it is such an honor to help “fill their tank” for the journey that lies ahead this year.

On the home front, the kids are thriving in school and life.  Hannah loves her school, is growing up too fast and right now is on a free trip to Disneyland with a missionary friend and her family who are about to return to Singapore!  John Jr. turns 12 this week, is adjusting well to middle school, is one of the top students in his class in math and science, and still wants to be a robotics engineer.

Christian, the comedian of the home, just raised hundreds of dollars for his school in the Boosterthon Fun Run and really wants a dog for Christmas.  Daniel was elected as the President of student counsel in his class, raised hundreds in the Boosterthon as well and has a new best buddy that moved into the neighborhood from Cleveland!

Thank you again for your partnership and love for our family.  By God’s grace, together we will make a great Kingdom impact for the glory of God.  Much love and blessings to you and your family!
